The Spicy Love Condom

Well, it has been a week since I have left. It feels much longer, but at the same time much shorter than that. We have been able to see a lot of cool things, and we have already had a lot of experiences. We taught our AIDS class today, it was interesting. It is really hard to communicate our messages to them. They don’t understand what we are trying to teach them, and why it is important to protect yourself. There was one really comical moment in today’s discussion. We were teaching about how it is important to use a condom and how to tell if the condom is still good, and all the facts. Well, this one man decided to be very personal, and very informative. So, he goes on to tell us about how one time when he was having sex he put the condom on and then after it was over they couldn’t find the condom. WOW! Talk about too much information, but oh no, it gets better! He then goes on to tell us about all the different kinds of condoms, and their names. He was telling us that there is one called “rough rider” and my personal favorite, “the spicy love condom” OH MY!!!! We were all trying not to laugh and trying to be polite, but it was pretty hard.
When we were leaving, they all wanted to get their pictures with us again, and they all asked for our contact information. It was hard, but thank goodness for fake email addresses!! We are going to the Slave Castles in Cape Cost, so I won't be able to post for a couple of days. It will be very hard, but also very interesting. It will be a very fun weekend. I am really excited!
