1 Day - 1 Year

I can't believe how much this munchkin has changed just in one short year. I also can't believe how fast the year has gone by. I miss her teeny-tiny baby days, but I have to say, she is a lot more fun now.

Birthday Girl

Me oh my!  My baby is ONE!!! When did that happen?  She is such a fun, fiesty little angel and we don't even know what we did before we had her.  She fills our life with joy and love, and makes us smile constantly.  She is our miracle.
Here are some of the things she is doing at 1:
*Says, "Hi" and waves at the same time
*Can blow kisses almost.  She gets her hand to her mouth, but doesn't get the giving it away.  Whenever she hears us do the kissing sound she will put her hand to her mouth and try to blow a kiss
*Says "Uh Oh"  She will drop things on purpose just so she can say "Uh Oh"  Its really cute.
*Can officially crawl.  FINALLY!!
*Is days away from walking on her own
*Laughs at anything we laugh at and thinks she is so funny.
*Is a copy cat
*Can say "Jesus" which she says by saying, "zzus"
*LOVES to read stories
*thinks I am a jungle gym and climbs all over me
*Still loves to eat everything
*Has 5 teeth
*Claps her hands when we say "Yay Gwen!"
*Always has to have 2 snacks - one for each hand, and when she has one snack in each hand she'll raise her hands above her head and smile huge.
*Is starting to communicate with us by pointing and trying to talk.
*She is very attached to me.
*She says hi to everyone in the grocery store
*Has been such a snuggle bug the last few weeks
*Will give us kisses when we ask
*Knows where my nose and eyelashes are
*Loves to share her toys and snacks with me

We threw a big birthday bash for her, and it was so much fun!  I did a Valentine's theme since her birthday is just 2 days after V-day.  I made her a huge cupcake all to herself, and then that cute heart cake for everyone else.  I think the cupcake weighed half as much as she did, and was bigger then her whole head.  She wasn't shy about getting right into her cake and loved having free reign to eat all the sugar she wanted for the first time in her life.
She kept eating her cake until we took it away and was still licking her hands until they were washed off.  She was one happy girl!!  She loved having so many of her cousins and aunts and uncles over to celebrate and play with her.  They spoiled her rotten, and I think doubled the amount of toys we had.
Some of my favorite things about Gwen are:
*Her crooked, snaggle tooth smile
*Her cuddles
*the way she sucks her thumb
*Her real laugh as well as her fake cackle
*How tiny she is
*that she always want to be where ever we are, doing whatever we are doing
*Her sweet spirit
*Her stubborn, sassy personality
*The way she already knows how to tease Dan
She is our angel and the light of our lives.  We love you Gwen!! Happy 1st Birthday!!

1 Year Photo Shoot

We got Gwen's 1 year photos done a week before her birthday.  We did a few family ones as well as a cake smashing shoot.  It was so much fun!!  She was being pretty good and gave us some good smiles. I LOVE how they turned out and have to give a big shout out to Megan Czarnocki for taking them.
I can't even stand how cute these are!!

Valentines Day

Here are some kisses from our little bear!!
We had a great Valentines Day.  We stayed in and had a nice dinner after Gwen went to bed and Dan got me some beautiful flowers, an awesome new water bottle, and a ring.  Happy Day of LOVE!

Cookie Time

My parents were going to be out of town for Gwen's birthday, so they wanted to have a little family party the Sunday before.  As part of the party, we also decorated the annual 8 dozen Valentine sugar cookies.  Gwen got to "blow" out the candle on her very own cookie and she was in heaven.
She got a cute stroller from Aunt Nat, Michael, Jack and Leo, a fun stacking cup set & tub toys from my mom and dad.  She loved them all.

And here are a few more things she's been up to lately:  practicing crawling, being cute in the tub, petting Chloe...well, kicking Chloe, and Chloe thinking that she's petting her, practicing walking, and pulling herself up to standing position during nap time.

We love our baby girl!
